Sending artwork for laser engraving: what helps
A logo, photo, sketch or saved image can all start the conversation. Here is what to send so we can assess the design and give you a useful quote.
You do not need a finished design before you ask about engraving. A rough sketch or reference picture can explain the idea. The clearest file you have helps us check the detail, work out what preparation is needed and discuss a suitable material.
Send the original file if you have it
For a logo or line design, an original vector file is helpful because it can be resized without losing sharp edges. If you only have a PNG, JPEG or screenshot, send the largest, clearest version available. We can review it and tell you whether the artwork needs cleaning up or redrawing before it can be used.
Tell us what is inspiration and what must stay exact
A reference photo may show the style you like without being the artwork you want engraved. Say which parts matter: the shape, lettering, pattern, colours or overall feel. For names, dates and messages, type the exact wording into the quote request as well. That gives us something clear to check against the proof.
Show us the item and the size
The same design can read differently on a small key ring, a tumbler or a large acrylic display. Include the item, preferred material and approximate width and height when you know them. Fine lines, tiny lettering and photo detail may need adjusting for the size and surface you choose.
Check permission for logos and artwork
If the design belongs to a club, company, artist or photographer, let us know that you have permission to use it. We can then focus on preparing the artwork for the piece you want made.
Upload your sample pictures or artwork with the quote request, along with the quantity and date you need the piece. We will review suitability and discuss any artwork preparation before confirming the design and quote.
